Where should we produce? We wanted to stay in Europe, and so our research led us to Portugal - a country where the craft is still alive. In Barceleos we have found two family run companies that share our values, believe in our vision and produce to our standards. How lucky!
European framework conditions, short transport routes and the same values were important to us when choosing the production.
Both companies attach great importance to the appreciation of their employees, compliance with standards and long-term employment relationships.
We know our partners personally and are in constant contact with them. Twice a year we travel to Portugal to visit them.
Our knitwear production partner was founded in 2009 with the aim of setting new standards in terms of sustainability. The company works with certified and eco-friendly yarns: recycled, organic and biological. In order to reduce the release of CO₂, new energy generation technologies such as biomass and photovoltaics were used. Fair working conditions are a matter of course. The company employs 22 people.
Here we only produce knitwear.
Founded by Adelane in 1988, the company has 30 years of experience. Today it is run in the second generation by their son Pedro. Both have the well-being of their 21 employees in mind and attach great importance to trusting and long-term partnerships. Innovation and sustainability are not just empty phrases, but real business.
